Allison Finkelstein

Board Advisor

Allison has more than two decades of executive level business experience with a variety of industrial manufacturing businesses. She was a senior executive for a $2.5 billion worldwide business unit of Eaton Corporation. As head of business development for that unit, she was responsible for all mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Deal sizes ranged from small technology buys to a $1 billion acquisition. She also managed the strategic planning process for the unit. Before her time at Eaton, she worked at Bank of Boston where she focused on the transportation industry and structured a multimillion-dollar employee buyout of one of the portfolio companies.

In her most recent role, she was the Assistant Vice President, Investments for TechColumbus, managing a portfolio of thirteen pre-seed funds, including the Ohio TechAngel Fund, 114 portfolio companies and approximately $31 million in assets under management. In addition to this funds management experience, she has herself been an angel investor for over fifteen years, for both domestic and international start-ups. Serving as a Director of three privately held companies, Allison helped orchestrate a very lucrative exit for one twenty-five months after the initial angel round.

Allison holds a bachelor’s of science degree in commerce from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University. In addition to consulting work with start-up companies, Allison is involved in a number of non-profit organizations in Central Ohio. She and her husband, who is a private investor, also run a foundation that provides scholarships to graduating area high school students. In 2011, she was honored in the WELD (Women for Economic Leadership and Development) calendar of Twelve Women You Should Know in Central Ohio.

Jay Jayanthan

Board Member

Jay Jayanthan is a serial entrepreneur and investor who is instrumental in establishing and growing several startup businesses in the U.S. Mr. Jayanthan is bullish in the technology space and has focused many decades in that sector.

Jay’s strength is in bringing professionals with excellent credentials to build teams that produces excellent results for the benefit of the stakeholders of the company. He also focuses on resource allocation for the company.

Jay is a co-founder and former Executive Chairman of PRIME AE Group, a multi-state multi-discipline AE firm. He is active in community organizations has served in commissions and advisory committees in finance and judicial areas in Ohio and Connecticut.

Jim Mazotas

Founder & CEO

The founder of innerActiv, Jim is responsible for design, technology and strategy, including all aspects of product design and development. He is also the patent author for the innerActiv technology and is presently designing future applications and improvements for exclusive use within the innerActiv framework.

Jim has extensive experience in developing new technical business strategies and solutions for many Fortune 500 companies worldwide. He was founder and CEO of Plannet—a leading provider of innovative security and networking products and services for small and medium-sized businesses, which was sold to CareWorks Technologies. Prior to Plannet, Jim held senior technical positions with Toyota, Lockheed Martin, Department of Defense and AT&T, where his contributions positioned the organizations for successful implementations of advanced technologies.

Jim has received several awards and honors, including the 2005 Columbus TopCAT (Top Contributors for Advanced Technology) Award for outstanding business and the 2003 Presidential and National Leadership Award from the Business Advisory Council.

Randy Wilcox

Board Advisor

Randy Wilcox began his career at Xerox Corporation in Columbus, OH where he spent 10 years in sales and sales management. In 1983, he founded SARCOM Corporation which over the next 15 years became a leading provider of technology products and services to Fortune 500 companies. What began as a small retail store grew into a company with 26 locations and nearly $1 billion in sales by 1999. Mr. Wilcox sold the company to a private equity firm in the late 1990’s but continued to serve as the CEO for a couple of years. He then founded an internet startup called SingleSource IT that was an online provider of computer products to large companies. That company was sold in late 2001.

In 2006, Randy along with several other central Ohio business people founded Insight Bank, a community bank based in Worthington, Ohio. Mr. Wilcox, one of the two largest shareholders, served on the board and helped sell the bank to a larger bank in 2015.

Randy is presently a partner in Wilcox Communities and the owner of Quest Business Centers.  Quest Business Centers, which he founded, is currently the leading provider of business conference space in the Columbus area.  Wilcox Communities is a regional developer of active adult targeted condominiums and apartment communities in seven Midwestern states. Wilcox Communities acquired many real estate assets at below market prices during the downturn and currently owns or controls 31 condo or apartment communities.

He has been involved with several private equity firms and has served on the boards of their portfolio companies. He currently is on the board of Norvax, a Chicago-based leading provider of online marketing and sales technology solutions for the insurance industry, and Intelligent I.D., a data loss prevention software company based in Columbus, OH. He also continues to serve on the board of SARCOM.

Randy is a graduate of Marshall University. Mr. Wilcox has been involved with a  number of community associations and organizations: Columbus Chamber of Commerce Board Member, United Way of Central Ohio Treasurer and Board Member, Technology Leadership Council Board Member, Former Columbus Chapter Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization, World Presidents Organization, Chief Executives Organization, Ohio Health Foundation Board Member, OhioHealth Board Member, OhioHealth Investment Committee Chair and the Children’s Hospital Research Foundation Board Member.

He has won a number of awards including Small Business Person of the Year for the State of Ohio.

Jamie Wilcox

Board Member

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jamie received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he studied Management Information Systems and Accounting. Jamie founded Wilcox Development Group in suburban Chicago in 2002. Wilcox Development Group developed a number of successful age-focused real estate developments throughout suburban Chicago, and eventually grew operations across 7 states. Leveraging this experience and seeing the emerging demand for comparable age-focused rental communities, he, along with his brother and father, began developing single-story rental communities in 2013. This alignment in vision eventually resulted in the creation of what is now family-owned Wilcox Communities, where Jamie is Managing Partner. He is charged with managing a diverse property portfolio, developing and fostering joint venture development relationships, and providing corporate vision, strategy, and operational leadership for Wilcox Communities.

Jamie has deep experience in corporate leadership, operational systems, sales and marketing, and nurturing a customer-focused culture. He enjoys leveraging this experience as an active technology investor and advisor.
